GEO Magazine highlights Nanda Devi

Entitled, “Himalaya: The mother of all mountains”, the special January issue of the French travel & geographic journal surveys the challenges and travails confronting Himalayan communities from Kashmir to Nepal, with Nanda Devi leading the way. Through exclusive photos of people and places around the biosphere reserve, the magazine retells the Nanda Devi story of a people usurped of their land in the name of ecology.
